On a long summer evening we met at a biergarten on the bank of the Rhine in Cologne. Long tables, a sunset, and introductions that carried through the evening.
The tables faced the Rhine with the cathedral across the water. Some came for the first time, others are faces from every gathering; by the end of the evening the two knew each other.
As the sun went down we all took one picture together. The photographs below are from that evening.
